We are super excited for Monday 8th of August over at The Natural Healer HQ, this is a hugely important date as it is Lionsgate! This is the 8th day of the 8th month of the year; the 8:8 portal and it presents us with an incredible opportunity to work with the most powerful incoming energies for our highest good. This upgrade has the potential to take us to unbelievable new heights!
Understanding Portals
What is a portal?
A portal is an energetic doorway or gateway to an expanded state of consciousness. It creates a powerful opportunity to connect with higher energies so we can make huge shifts in our life. We can make the most of each portal if we work with the incoming energies by channelling, anchoring and integrating them.
The importance of numbers
In numerology, every number from 0 to 9 is a symbol and is therefore highly significant. Symbols are the language of the soul, so are not easily understood by the logical mind. Patterns of numbers work together like a code and are interpreted by the subconscious mind. We can use these power days to connect more fully with our higher nature and consciously choose to elevate our awareness, vibration and level of understanding.
8:8 Lionsgate
What is the Lionsgate Portal?
Every year the Sun and Sirius align in the sky activating the Lionsgate portal. Sirius is a star that is bigger and brighter than our own Sun. When the Sun and Sirius are conjunct (together), their magnificent energies join and intensify and Mother Earth is able to receive this combined download from two of the most powerful lights in the sky. That is what makes this portal one of the most important of the year.
The influx of super high vibrational energy enhances spiritual awakenings, can bring about new insights or awareness, and can also help to raise the consciousness of the planet.
Why is it called Lionsgate?
It is called Lionsgate because it happens in Leo season and the symbol for Leo is the Lion. The Lionsgate Portal is open the whole time the Sun is in Leo, gradually increasing in intensity and energy, peaking on the 8:8, and then decreasing until the Sun moves out of Leo and into the next sign of Virgo.
The meaning of the 8:8 portal
The 8:8 gateway is a portal of light that will transmit activational codes by streaming rays of light down onto our magnificent planet. We can choose to consciously participate so that we can benefit fully, but it is entirely up to each of us whether we actively engage with and make the most of the incredible energies available to us at this time.
The Sun is in Leo (creative) and 8 is the number that represents infinity, power, divine connection, rebirth and the higher realms. So it is the perfect time to find enjoyment through simply being human and find more gratitude for the human side of life. We came here to truly experience and live our fullest and highest potential with regard to our human capabilities.
How to use the 8:8 portal
Step 1: Identify what is holding you back
It is really helpful to identify any areas that are preventing guidance from flowing in our lives. We can do this by asking ourselves questions such as:
Where is my internal dialogue holding me back?
What limiting words and phrases am I repeatedly using in connection with my life here on planet Earth?
What restricting words do I use to describe my happiness and the experiences I am having?
Step 2: Letting go of old beliefs
Once identified, choose to let go of this old mental patterning and beliefs. Release it and let it go. Release the past with love in your heart and then choose to invite in newer, higher vibrations to take their place.
Call in your personal team of spirit guides, angels, elementals, power animals to help you and use crystals you are guided to for support in this process. If you are not sure which crystals to use, here are our recommendations.
Remember, Leo will be helping us to create our best and highest possible life.
Step 3: Manifest
All we need to do then.....
Sit quietly out in nature or inside in your sacred space.
If we are inside, light a candle, diffuse essential oils or burn incense to cleanse and purify the space.
Hold a clear Quartz point or Fire Quartz.
Invite and visualise the 8:8 energies flowing down from the heavens and flowing down from our Crown chakra and into our chakra column on the in-breath.
Have the intention to anchor this energy within our physical body and energy field to upgrade our ability to receive guidance.
On the out-breath visualise this energy flowing down from our Base chakra and continuing past our Earth Star chakra (just beneath your feet) and keeping going until it is deep within the heart of Mother Earth.
Just keep breathing in and out, visualising the incoming energies flowing down through us and then down into the Earth.
Anchoring the energies within us and then grounding them into Gaia.
We are the channel.
The energies are flowing through us.
They are activating cellular light codes within us.
Let the light do the work.
Just focus on the light moving through us.
Do this until we feel it is time to stop.
Drink lots of pure water.
Express gratitude to the Universe by bringing your hands together in front of your heart and saying 'thank you, thank you, thank you'.
Go for a walk in nature or draw some oracle cards for guidance.
We can also ask the Universe to help us to manifest our heart's desires so we can live our best possible life. By releasing all limitations that we currently have regarding life in a physical body, we can bring our highest potential to this world and shine like the beautiful inspired beings that we truly are, connected to both the physical and spiritual worlds.

I love Aquamarine for this time, it is ideal for helping you to release anything- which is exactly what we need to do! It resonates with the energy of Water to promote release, allowing us to let go of things that no longer serve us and make space for the things we choose to create anew. It helps us let go of our attachment to the past, which releases the hold on our present reality and keeps us stuck. It is ideal for helping us to release our old beliefs.
Ocean Jasper
Ocean Jasper is another mineral I highly recommend to help let go and help everything flow. It works to stimulate positive energy and encourages it to permeate through us in the present moment.
